The first numbered Permutrix devlog introduced the early Gradation Group workflow and corrected how OKLCH colors were represented between the controls and Live Canvas.
Gradation Groups and OKLCH
- Gradation Groups could combine up to three controlled color ranges.
- Linear and radial shapes exposed angle and color-stop controls.
- Gradient mapping followed the visible pixel bounds of each layer.
- The tint path was corrected so Live Canvas colors matched the OKLCH-oriented controls more closely.
Pattern asset selection
Pattern groups gained a compact asset browser for choosing which files could participate on each layer, together with All and None shortcuts and per-group saved selections.
Everyday editor fixes
- Native prompt calls were replaced with in-app dialogs that worked in the packaged Electron build.
- Asset Browser controls were regrouped and allowed to wrap in narrow panels.
- The right-side panel was renamed Layer Hierarchy and empty layers became easier to create.
- Pattern groups received independent nonce controls so rerolling one group did not disturb the others.
