An early look at the brighter project launcher, recent-project preview, and clearer create-or-open flow.

Before the main editor redesign was complete, this update previewed a cleaner start screen built around creating, reopening, and understanding projects more quickly.

A more focused project launcher

The refreshed screen separated Create New Project, Open Project, Import PSD, and Recent Projects into clearer choices. A recent-project preview surfaced canvas size, layer count, asset count, and the last opened design before entering the editor.

Work in progress, not a release

The post was intentionally a progress report. The main workspace was still being reorganized, so the next downloadable build waited until the broader editor update could be finished and tested.

What carried forward

The current start flow has evolved again, but it keeps the same goal: make the difference between starting, reopening, and importing a project obvious before the user reaches the editing workspace.
