Permutrix Browser Demo Local Data Notice

Notice version: 2026-10-09.1

Effective date: 2026-10-09

This notice describes local data behavior in Permutrix browser demo releases that identify this notice version. The separate Windows desktop and Microsoft Store apps have their own local-data notices. For website access, cookies, support, and information handled by hosting or sales services, also consult https://permutrix.com/legal/privacy and the relevant service notices.

English#

Projects and images processed in the browser#

The browser demo processes selected projects and images in the browser on your device. It does not automatically upload projects or images to Permutrix servers for editing, generation, previews, or exports. The browser may request app code, fonts, samples, and other website files to run the demo. Website access and hosting-service processing are described separately in the Privacy Policy linked above and the relevant service notices.

Where the browser permits it, the demo may keep the following data in browser storage for the origin running the app:

  • the accepted terms and notice versions and acceptance time;
  • app preferences available in the demo, such as language, theme, and panel layout;
  • recent-project information and file or folder access references allowed by the browser;
  • a recovery project.json snapshot for unsaved edits; and
  • temporary preview, render, and export caches and storage state needed to run the app.

Recovery snapshots and caches do not replace a project backup. Keep your own files to retain the original images and the complete project.

Storage for the homepage, itch, and separately hosted copies#

Browser storage is separated by web origin and browser profile. The homepage demo, the demo embedded on itch, and a demo running at a separate address may use different storage areas. Acceptance records, preferences, recovery snapshots, and caches are not automatically shared or synchronized even when these copies run on the same device.

Storage partitioning for embedded pages, private browsing, browser settings, storage limits, or clearing site data can restrict storage or remove data. Opening a different address or browser does not by itself restore previous work.

Project ZIP downloads and reopening#

Saving a project in this browser demo requests a portable project ZIP download containing project.json, referenced assets, and the working cache being saved. Complete any browser download prompt and check that the file was actually saved. Extract the saved ZIP, then open the extracted project folder to continue working. The demo does not reopen the ZIP file directly.

Exported images, ZIP or PSD files, and project ZIP files remain separately in the browser's download location or another file location you choose. Clearing browser storage or closing the demo does not automatically delete files already downloaded.

Scope of clearing browser data#

Clearing site data for the origin running the demo in browser settings can remove that origin's acceptance record, app preferences, recent-project references, recovery snapshots, and caches. The demo may ask for assent again when reopened. Save any project ZIP and exports you want to keep before clearing data.

This does not also delete the Downloads folder, external projects, original images, exports, app data for other origins or browser profiles, browser-wide permission settings, or records held by hosting, sales, or support services. Check your browser settings for its site-data and permission-management scope. Copies in backups, synchronization services, or file-recovery areas also require separate management.

External purchase pages and separate apps#

The browser demo does not use a separate desktop app's dedicated profile or the Store app's encrypted license file, and does not perform Google sign-in or Paddle checkout inside the demo. “Get Pro” links to the Permutrix page in Microsoft Store. Windows app installation and Pro purchase, activation, or restoration take place outside the demo under that app's terms and local-data notice and the relevant service notices.
